This product has saved us a few times
What do you like best about the product?
It has protected us from sophisticated targeted phishing attacks. A few members of our organization have fallen victim in the past, but since we implemented this we have had zero issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be inconvenient, but even that has been painless compared to what could possibly happen. The interface is different than the other barracuda products so there is an adjustment there too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Targeted phishing campaigns. I can see the reports and notifications of the attempts and they are well prepared. I know that without this pordcut, members of our organization would fall victim to these attacks.

Helpful and easy to read interface with valuable information
What do you like best about the product?
The Impersonation protection really allowed us to see in further detail our more high risk vs medium and low risk employees while providing factors as to why such a risk level was applied
What do you dislike about the product?
Of course Barracuda Impersonation Protection can be on the pricey side of the spectrum but our school district has continued to have great success with Barracuda products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda impersonation protection has been able to provide a detailed and easy to read GUI with most of the important security related details in one pane, details such as header info and threats found in the email. Impersonation Protection will sort employees into a low, medium and high risk category, further revealing employees who may become targets or are being already targeted by scams/phishing. Impersonation Protection also verifies DMARC is properly configured and provides actions that can be performed to further restrict spam/scams/phishing
Dramatic cut back on impersonation attacks!
What do you like best about the product?
The system was easy to set up and implement - taking less than an hour to ensure everything was configured correctly. Since that point, I get a regularly scheduled status report, along with email notifications on when the system is capturing impersonation attmepts. My team likes it because they can quickly report if they feel that a message is a false positive - in which we are able to go into the software and verify the message before resending it to the user. It has been a great addition and has captured on average about 10-20 messages per week from malicious sources pretending to be our CEO, accounting, or HR teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm struggling to find dislikes about it - the simplicity of the system, along with how easy it was to implement makes the software that much more robust, as there isn't a ton of rules or features you need to toggle on and off. It has nearly been a "set it and forget it" system that we rarely have to make any modifications to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have dealt with a handful of situations prior to implementation where senders would often impersonate people on our team to try and get other team members to perform actions that are malicious in nature. While we have DMARC deployed on our systems, things still slip by and to the casual user, it may not be very apparent that the sender is not who they say they are. With Impersonation Protection, those instances are greatly reduced. Coupled with quarterly security training and simulated phishing tests, we feel we are in a great position having all of these items help educated and protect our team.
Ease of Use Proactive
What do you like best about the product?
With Barracuda Impersonation Protection, I am able to efficiently eliminate any fraudulent emails from our email systems. Previous programs I have used did not compare to Barracuda's exceptional software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I notice that the interface experiences some lag when attempting to delete a considerable number of emails. Nonetheless, the system eventually finishes the task, and we still have reliable protection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The function of preventing SPAM emails from infiltrating our system is crucial in maintaining its security. By swiftly removing such emails, we avoid the potential issues that may arise if a user responds to them. This is why we prioritize keeping our systems free from unwanted electronic communication.
Barracuda impersonation protection is a great product
What do you like best about the product?
What i like most about Barracuda imperonation detection is the fact that nothing seem to get through and I feel protected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe this is a solid product and at the moment I can't think for a reason to believe otherwise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps my users clear from imperonated cutting down in harmful situations.
Outstanding Protection Against Email Impersonation
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Barracuda's Email Impersonation Protection for a while now, and I must say, it's been an absolute game-changer for our organization's cybersecurity. This solution has proven itself as a true guardian against one of the most cunning and prevalent threats in the digital landscape – email impersonation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the accuracy of the solution in identifying threats is commendable, there's always a possibility of false positives. Legitimate emails might be flagged and blocked, leading to potential disruptions in communication if not properly managed and monitored.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversation hijacking, CEO fraud and filtering phishing emails from going to inbox instead it is being directed to Junk folder.
Barracuda Impersonation Protection
What do you like best about the product?
The system is very simple to use. We use it in conjucntion with Incident Response in order to identify the vulnerabilities and then pull them before any damage can be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometiems it is hard to keep up with all of the alerts. We are a small shop and have to prioritize and there are times where this isn't a priority then we are worried that we may have missed something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to identify scams and phishing attempts. We have seen a decrease in the amount of Impersonations that have gotten through to end users.
A real useful tool in the environment
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easily I can monitor employee habits and security awareness training excersizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that the interface could be a little more intuitive, maybe include different templates for campaigns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User awareness definately.
e-mail protection is decent but not perfect

The management console is nice and easy to use.

The detection could be a lot better and setting up organization wide notifications could be way easier.

Impersonation Protection for your Business
What do you like best about the product?
Impersonation protection is excellent when working in tandem with common email security. It alerts admins and the end user impacted which is a major help. It does a solid job of catching true positives and letting malicious things through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does miss some things. It's segmented away from the rest of email security in the suite. Impersonation protection can be a little difficult to configure in the way that it is layed out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email security and dmarc protction. Impersonation protection is a single pain of glass for us to help managed our mail security. It does an great job at what it is supposed to do.
