For my relatively basic usage, this works just great
What do you like best about the product?
I use Hootsuite basically just to schedule tweets. For my company's Facebook page and other social media, I just use the queuing features within each platform. So, given my very limited usage of the product, I'm totally satisfied.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that more of the analytics tools were available without the Pro account. I guess I can't blame Hootsuite for doing this, but, to reiterate, my usage of the platform is so minimal but I definitely would make use of more analytic features if they came with the basic account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The obvious one -- this enables us to schedule tweets. Pretty utilitarian in that regard, though I'm imagining other users getting more expansive usage out of the product.

Clunky interface-- but gets the job done

It's like an early day bulk copier-- giant, gray, gets the job done.

Doesn't feel new in design or innovation. Seems like they have made a product and are just fine with it with no changes.
Nothing feels exciting about social media, the feed doesn't seem engaging, I am never looking forward to signing in and posting content for our page.

We have to promote shows and keep active on social media across many channels with a small staff and limited resources.
Benefits of this are the bulk scheduling and promotional messaging. We are able to at least get the job done that we need to accomplish-- no frills.

Social Media Management Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to integrate and link accounts. It was painless and took seconds ti complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the interface a tad clunky. It isn't as streamlined and clean looking as I'd expect. The product works well, but I wish the UX was a little more clean and polished.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're finding ways to streamline our social media efforts. It has made our lives easier to post social media content and manage our pages in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think if you need an affordable and easy to use product for social media management, then HootSuite is right for you. I think there are some products out there that have a nicer looking platform, but for what it is, it works great!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to manage all of your social media accounts on one platform.
Particularly, the paid version allows you to view all of the posts that are scheduled in a monthly calendar view.
This allows for seamless scheduling of material that doesn't overlap.

I dislike the confusing aspect of the team function. There's too many permissions and logins needed separately from each other in order to manage all accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating all of our team's marketing efforts into one website has proved to be very beneficial.

I definitely recommend this product for individuals who are using less than 3 social media platforms.

Hootsuite Great For Beginners in Social Media Realm.
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a little more clumsy as an application, but it's still a very good platform for social media managers and community managers. The addition of Facebook Campaigns has really made the platform stand out from some of the other offerings. The content recommendations are also a nice touch as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout for scheduling social media content is not the best in my opinion. The Campaigns section was in Beta the last time I used it but it could use some polishing when it comes to targeting and setting the demographics. I feel that the content recommendations are a little hit or miss when looking for more broad topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy for me to manage my clients profiles with this tool because I can manage different accounts and switch between them quickly. It's a big time saver.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good tool to get started with if you're looking for an SM tool to get you started. It's not the best for those who consider themselves power users, but it is a step in the right direction when it comes to beginner social media management tools.
Great for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy being able to manage everything from Facebook to Instagram using just one platform. With the recent Instagram implementation, it's a breeze to upload everything and get it scheduled across platforms. The ability to have multiple feeds and manage everything in one screen is truly a dream.
What do you dislike about the product?
Facebook seems to squelch posts made from Hootsuite vs. natively in Facebook, but it's still a great tool to use in a pinch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More effective and efficient social media management, ability to manage on the go, social monitoring, etc.

Favorite Social Media Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is the perfect fit for marketing/social media managers working in the SMB setting. Price is right, easy to setup, gets the job done.

The dashboard isn't as aesthetically pleasing as other social media management tools and it can be hard to find/do things within each stream.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed something to post and manage social media, basic analytics and hosting our 3 main social media sites in one place. Easy to use and schedule posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a quick, easy, and cheap way to manage the 3 major SM sites, HootSuite is all you need. If Social Media is more of a validation tool and not your main traffic driver, the basic HootSuite does all you need.
Helpful and supportive with some great add-on's
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use to post across multi social networks. The range of social networks available. The auto post facilities that you can upload via excel. All really really helpful saving lots of time. The applications you can sync with, although not all are free vastly increase your options when it comes to social media posting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the social networks crash so pre planned work does not get posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and posting my work across multi media that doing individually would take hours. I am also able to work in one screen across multiple social media channels that could well take even more time flicking through each screen or tab.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Greater variety of suggested posts. Hootsuite has this amazing suggested posts, however for my topic/market the list is very USA based. needs tailoring to each segment, so UK folk can select from UK urls rather than mainly .com urls. Also a greater sync with Zapier and IFTT so that further integrations for non tekkies can take place.

Multi stream view for monitoring, scheduling tools and analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
Analytics are not very easy to understand, and most available only through premium service...yet its not premium data they are analyzing. Also when posting to twitter the content does not carry over properly (i.e. photos, links)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling needs and multi network monitoring. Scheduling tool is a huge benefit.
