Great and Robust CPQ solution
What do you like best about the product?
Overall I do enjoy how the Apttus CPQ tool handles countless variations of contract use cases. Using the XAuthor technology makes it easier to print variables from Salesforce and inject various conditions into the word template. The fact that the tool was built on Salesforce.com platform makes it very familiar to a SysAdmin/Dev to enhance to tool further with simple configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generating documents seems to take longer than usual. But, the output results make up for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contract Visibility. Ease to Access and Scalability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Apttus Contract Management seems to be an effective solution for Contracts

In constant improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Assets. Versions. Online document maker. Tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile version. Client have difficulty knowing there are different pages and sometimes the side bar is not very user friendly. I wish when saving assets ( while creating a document) that one can name the asset and also add tags to it and even place it in a certain folder ( that folder could be also linked to cloud storage) when saving; instead of just saving it and using the title from the document. When creating a new version it is better to be able to be given the option to write an email rather than it being automated. Also some clients are not very comfortable viewing on octiv so it would be interesting to add an option or to include and attach PDF version of the proposal When sending out the email and maybe even have the option to add other attachements that sometimes we do not want to include in the proposal. Also it would be better if the emails were received from clients showing them our email rather than octivs. The octiv packages have become much more expensive and We will have to terminate our contract next year given that We started using it since the days of tinderbox, We understand there are improvements as one of your representatives said like any other online service company ( We are subscribed to so many online softwares for business but never have we seen such an increase in the price) there should be some support for the first tinderbox customers who have been loyal and supporting in a way the growth of octiv, and given that over the years our assets and data base is quiet heavy as information :) also tracking should be detailed to show viewing by proposal version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: Faster proposal creation and online proposal database. Proposal versions are very useful. andClients love the interface.
Took Proposals to the Next Level
What do you like best about the product?
Morphed flat Word doc proposals into engaging online proposals with video and dynamic content. Ability for sales reps to see client/prospect engagement with the documents in invaluable. We know what content is working! Also saves a sales rep the task of asking: "have you had a chance to review the proposal?"
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like some enhancements, especially the ability for a client to select different pricing options on one page instead of having to use multiple pages to get the job done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced proposals (video, look and feel), knowing who is reviewing the proposals and what content they are engaging with, easier for administrators/marketing to update and keep fresh.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are other decent options out there, but this seemed like the easiest to implement and have us the new, modern look and feel we were looking for.
Good software, sometimes hard to format

What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting of fonts, tables, colors, and cells can sometimes be hard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quicker acceptance of online agreements
Robust Suite of Contract Management Features
What do you like best about the product?
Overall I do enjoy how the Apttus CLM tool can handle countless variations of contract use cases. Using the XAuthor technology makes it easy to tie variables from Salesforce and inject clauses, addendums, and terms dynamically into an already familiar word template. The fact that the tool was built on the Salesforce.com platform makes it very familiar to a SysAdmin/Dev to enhance to tool further with simple configuration or more complex development.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generating documents seems to take an eternity at 5 seconds, which is rough in today's I want it now digital world. But, the output results make up for the snooze fest.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration to salesforce and the tracking capabilities or the agreement and documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Set up isn't as simple or easy as we hoped. You really have to nail your processes down and think through the integration and process piece before attempting to use within Salesforce environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistent contract and proposal language amongst reps. Ability to see who received and viewed our docs and for how long. If the document gets forwarded and to whom is a huge benefit to get additional power players in a deal. Our speed from order to sign increased.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before you purchase, make sure you have your documents thought out and ready to go. No point to purchase until you have everything in place.
You didn't mean sign that
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is quick and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "Accept process" is confusing for user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Octiv, we had all of our quotes in access, and only the person that knew how to use it, was the person that created it. This made the process very tedious and difficult, especially if you needed something quick and that person wasn't around. This made making changes very difficult.
Very easy to use for both parties involved.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track and see opens when engaged with.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is sometimes a short lag between when it is signed and I am notified it was signed.

The ability to create Insertion Orders for Advertising
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes I would not want to use another service.
Mallesh - CLM review
What do you like best about the product?
It is integrated with the native Salesforce CRM system.
We can incorporate CPQ solutions and Apttus Advanced Approval solutions with in CLM and compatibility.
X-Author plugin is most useful to create complex Apttus templates. I have recently created few new templates in FX2 format and i liked a lot while comparing with pre FX2 format.
Easy to understand the users and good CLM life cycle process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apttus CLM is helping a lot for the sales by generating Apttus templates. I do assist the internal team in order to fix the issue of our clauses and template issues. And used to do the template design part and template visibility rules in CLM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are not using that high level this CLM product but we mainly using CPQ in our daily life cycle.
