Great service, but terrible free version
What do you like best about the product?
I love how seamless the content uploading is. The user interface is amazing and the app is nice and tidy. It looks nice too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage limits are way too greedy. This app could do so much in the world with its free version, but instead it's a money grab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files quickly to meet state requirements, medically.
Best way to access and Sync all my work or all devices.
What do you like best about the product?
It have a Mobile version, Desktop version, I can save my data permanently and access it everywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version provides less space. It would be better to have a 1 time GBs purchase option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't need to think how to transfer my files from device to device.
Practical for a business owner
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely useful for sharing folders between myself and clients as well as colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to be able to personalise the look more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We share large files for projects, it means clients can upload files straight to us rather than sending links etc
Most likely the best cloud service.
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy to use, configure, and set up across multiple devices. There are many things you can do with your files, even file sharing along with your account. The dedicated, 24/7 customer support is also amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd only be wary of security failures; I wish I could be entirely sure of the security protocols involved in sharing delicate files to the cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can rest assured that the files I need the most are with me everywhere; work, home, on business trips.
Still the best
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbx is just easy. The sync is amazing. Its like a realtime sync. I use several but keep checking if there is a price drop so I can get on a bigger plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive. The only thing I dont like is they dont offer cyber monday deals or anything to lower price of paid plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its a quick signup, easy to get cloud sync solution that everyone should have even if its the free version.
Good storage and sharing service
What do you like best about the product?
That you can access from any device and the backup from Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it's no obvious immediately how much space is left.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The sharing of documents online when the files are too big to send through email.
A good solid service overall
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the way that Dropbox integrates with the filesystem in Windows itself. It's part of my daily workflow.
I save all my client files to Dropbox as well as most other files, and they are synced to the cloud automatically. I've got Google Drive and Microsoft Onedrive accounts free with various other products I have subscriptions for that I could use, but I still pay for and continue to pay for Dropbox. I just prefer the functionality, and it at least feels more like my data is fully mirrored to the cloud, vs others where it feels more like it's force to to live on the cloud. The ability to set files to either always sync to device always or just on demand (to save disk space locally) is a bonus. The sharing functions are good. I have confidence that files I share to Dropbox are safe and won't just disappear, unlike OneDrive, and the fact it uses a familiar "one file per name" as per every operating system (vs Google Drive allowing multiple files with the same name in the same folder) suits the way I work. I also like the fact that it works almost seamlessly on Windows, Linux, and my Android phone.

What do you dislike about the product?
This may not be Dropbox's fault, but one thing that frustrates me is that the integration with Microsoft Office which is lacking. Microsoft Office defaults to OneDrive as the default location for saving, and won't default to a folder within my Dropbox. If I then go to save the file NOT in OneDrive, this disables the Autosave.
I am NOT saying this is Dropbox's fault, sounds like Microsoft gatekeeping functionality. I'm only mentioning it as it's a bit of an ongoing minor hassle in terms of my file management (as I'm a heavy user of Excel).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup of files, access of my files across different devices, and transfer of files between devices.
I'm a regular user of 3-4 different devices where I need to access my files for work purposes. Dropbox makes this easy, as an extension of the regular file system in windows, rather than a separate system to go into to access files. I also use to for the simple task to being an easy way to transfer photos I take on my phone to my computer for storage or use in web design projects etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I feel the program is very fast and keeps my projects, especially as a creative, in great quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly as a broke college student, the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is so easy to share and give access to others when I work on collaborative works.
Easy to use, reliable, seemless integration
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox integrates seamlessly with Windows, so I barely notice it's there. It's easy to use and reliable, so I feel secure that my files are safely backed up and always accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The vault was a great feature, allowing an extra level of security and privacy, but this is being removed as of March 2025.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps me store and keep backups of all of my important work documents and files, which is especially important since I work in an industry that involves the creation of digital files. Dropbox also allows me to access these files from multiple devices wherever I am.
