Online storage with Dropbox!

  • June 17, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Dropbox, you can easily upload files and keep them there as a storage platform. The files in your storage are available all the time, and you can access them whenever you want. You can use Dropbox on an phones and send files from one device to another instantly. This makes Dropbox an excellent platform for file sharing as well, as it is comparitively much faster than email attachments and USB transfer. Dropbox offers great security for your files, making them only accessible to you by default. However, you can also give access to anyone you wish through invitations. This opens up several possibilities for cloud collaboration, for which Dropbox is quite fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike how Dropbox works, but I wish there were more than 2GB of storage space. Google Drive, on the contrary, offers up to 15GB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to send files and to store them so that I can retrieve them on a different device later. Having my files available to me at all times is quite reassuring as I'll be able to access my work files at home on my laptop even when I'm away from my computer. Dropbox is quite streamlined and available on web browsers with an excellent user interface to navigate your folders to find any file you want quickly. There's also a search bar you can use to locate your file if you're unsure of which folder it is in. You can use Dropbox to sync and store your passwords across devices. This is done using the Dropbox Passwords addon that you can install on your browser to save your passwords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Dropbox because of its extensibility and all the features that come with it alongside cloud storage. But if you're purely looking for storage only, Google Drive is perhaps the better choice as it offers more space.

Drop it in Dropbox

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is exceptionally collaborative, allowing for the ease of sharing documents with colleagues and clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I had to learn how to navigate a new platform, which wasn't terribly difficult. However, any new platform takes time to learn about its function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox eliminates unnecessary emails back and forth. I can easily drop documents into a folder that my colleagues and/or clients have access to. They can also drop documents back into that same folder. Dropbox makes collaborating easy, especially with working remotely. This also is cost effective for working with international clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Creating folders and sub folders has made everything much more fluid.

Still one of the best solutions for cloud storage

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been around for longer than a lot of other cloud based storage and there's a reason - it's just that good. Easy to use, fairly priced, good storage options. I literally could not do my job without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of anything - the only small nitpick is that the desktop app for Mac is not as robust as using it in a browser. But that is really small in comparison to how well the rest of the service functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it every day to send clients large files, to request files from people, to keep files that I need to access from other locations, and several other uses. It's a great way to keep everything I need in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is not the cheapest option of all, but it is the best and I would highly recommend it.

Excellent tool for file management

What do you like best about the product?
It's very practical and intuitive, easy to use and access, you can't go wrong because it's so obvious.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have what I don't like about the app, as I only see advantages in using it. But some users complain about file duplication.
Perhaps the little storage size that is 5Gb depending on the user is little space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in education, I'm a teacher, so I save all my students' grades in my Dropbox. I always keep everything organized in folders and when I need it, I can access it from my cell phone. So far I haven't found any problems in use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it because it's easy to use, you find everything in one place, easy to organize. Can use without problem.

Online sharing of files

What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface to upload files and share with friends. Great for when emails will not accept large files. I love sharing my meeting videos with people who missed the meeting. I can share a simple link and they can access that folder easily. the free service is great for some online storage
What do you dislike about the product?
the free version is a little limited on space especially when you share a video file or large presentation. Paying for additional storage seems expensive when upgrading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to share files with people when they are not able to be there in person. They are able to keep updated with information after the event, with a simple share of a link they can either view or download the files to their local computer
Recommendations to others considering the product:
using the free version is an ideal way to share files and information or even use for sharing media files that are too large to email

Easy cloud storage

  • June 15, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use Dropbox and the intuitiveness in the UI. You can use Dropbox on computers, mobiles, and any device with access to a web browser. Its cross-platform nature enables you to upload and view files from anywhere. File sharing is done relatively easily on Dropbox, where you can share the URL of any specific file from your storage with other people. Although files and folders by default are private, you can make them shared files and shared folders by sending email invitations to people to give them access to view and edit.

For cloud collaboration, Dropbox is excellent and serves as a great medium of file transfer. You can use Dropbox Paper to collaborate on documents, manage your tasks, create notes and reports, add due dates, etc. simultaneously with other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
As great as Dropbox is, it offers minimal storage space compared to Google Drive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to upload files on a day-to-day basis. Dropbox is a much faster method of sharing files with my coworkers than email attachments. While email attachments and the file upload limits for communication software such as Zoom and Skype prevent you from uploading large files, Dropbox makes it convenient for you to share them as it doesn't have any such limit for a single file. The benefit of Dropbox is that it makes all your files accessible in a common platform so that they're readily available whenever you need them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is free to use at a basic level, and you get up to 2GB of space. I would recommend it since it is very secure and makes file sharing convenient.

1 of the best apps for file storage

  • June 15, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With dropbox you get 2 GB of free storage. Easy to share files. Easy to sort files. Never had any issues using this software. Loads very quickly with limited buffering. Takes saving files to a whole new height. Supports most or all of the major platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox should improve the amout of free storage that you start with. It starts to sync automatically when you open the app and it should give you the option to sync or not. Doesn't have a feature to link multiple accounts together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes business meetings more interactive. What I mean by that is Dropbox can easily share files between people instantly, whereas everyone in the meeting can view from their own phone together instead of having to use a board to write it down so everyone can see.

What I dislike about Dropbox is your storage is very limited. You have to buy storage if you are someone that uploads several files on a daily basis.
