Everyone is invited to the party

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about using Dropbox is the fact that everything is all in one place. You can have people working from any part of the world all using the same folders which update in real time. It makes everything much easier to stay on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox takes care of pretty much everything we need as far as shared storage is concerned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can all edit documents and share them back and forth with ease. When you have multiple people that need to access and edit a document there is no other service I would recommend using.

Reliable fast solution for sharing files even large ones

  • June 22, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
ease of setting up a new sharable folder
What do you dislike about the product?
could have more space available under free plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My clients upload tons of images and docs into our shared folder (only available for them and me) and when I need to access these, they are all in one place. They can send some one day and more another time, and unlike email, they all stay in one place. Also when I need to share an image, for example, with someone else like my photoshop guy, I don't have to bring it onto my PC, etc. I can just copy it within DB right to the other person.

Long Time Use and Still Love It

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy to use and is accessible online, offline in Explorer, and on your phone. I use Dropbox often to share files with customers that are too large to send in an email. You can share per file or folder, which makes it easy if you share with the same people repeatedly. The price is reasonable. I even use this for personal downloads that are too large to transfer to my phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I dislike about DropBox. I wish more of my customers used it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use DropBox for file sharing extensively. Using Dropbox saves time and ease of accessing files where ever you need to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I find it easier than other systems and have been using it for years.

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the ability to Secure sharing. You can invite others, give a link, and time out the sharing. It's great that it integrates with their party platforms like Google, Microsoft, Slack, Adobe, Zoom, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface isn't fantastic. It's sometimes hard to find which menu holds what I'm looking for. The photos are files but are also seperate location. Sharing could be hard to identify how you want to share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is a great file backup that can be easily organized and accessed across multiple platforms. I like that it will back up photos from your phone so you can delete them and maximize your phone's storage.

Useful for large team storage

  • June 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is pretty easy to use, the organization makes it clear in understanding what I'm looking for and where items are stored. I can also understand what I do and do not have access to. The dropbox paper feature makes it really easy to cross-collaborate on notes on meetings with team members or things like scripts or plans. I love using this feature and being able to see what my colleagues capture versus what I've captured. It makes it easy to organize these items in the system as well so that future team members can see all the notes for a project in one place and get up to speed easily by going through them all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to find what I'm looking for if I'm looking for a specific document and the search doesn't help and I have to do some real investigative work to find items. The search experience can be hard to use when I know an item appears in a specific folder but I do not know where it lives. I typically have to pogo stick in and out of all the folders to find what I'm looking for or see what the results are of a search and try to work backward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team storage for files, research, and project work. We have realized the ability to organize our projects based on the time or stage of the project. It allows multiple people to add to it and gives permissions for only those team members to have access, or everyone if you want everyone to have access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider how much storage you need and how many people you want to use this with. Ours is rather large and requires people just to manage and organize all of the files as we continue to grow and need to add more work. Also, consider dropbox paper as I've found it very useful for notes and organizing collaborative notes. You can also organize these based on project and allow only team members who need access to be added to those.

Great Product!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how if your part of the business plan you can add your team, so they can upload and view files as well, and for our customers we can send them a secure password protected link that expires, which is a great feature that dropbox has.
What do you dislike about the product?
i dislike the cost of this subscription but its useful for a business that needs all the colab tools to get everything running smoothly, and we can'tcontrol what anyone syncs to our dropbox account which kinda stinks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving our colab issues, as we were using a diffrent software called FangOffice which did not work what so ever with what we needed as most of the time lagged out which was no good. the benfits i like of dropbox are File Sharing is my number one, Mobility, and syncing files across all of our devices is the best part.

Dropbox Makes Your Life Easier

  • June 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Dropbox makes your life so much easier by just clicking download, and all the files are there for you. It's great when you are sending large file formats and need everything consolidated in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how you have to pay to upgrade for more file storage. Sometimes Dropbox can take a bit to load, also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems I am solving with Dropbox are ease of transferring and sending files to others in the workplace, or even personally. The benefits make everything transfer over so much more smoothly than if I were to send a bunch of files over via email. It's just a one-click download and you are all set with everything you need. It's a game-changer. I would recommend Dropbox to anyone that frequently needs to send files over!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend upgrading your Dropbox account to premium to be able to have more storage. It's kind of a bummer that with "Basic" you don't get that much storage. However, it will make your life so much easier to just upgrade and you won't regret it! I can see almost any office job using this program - it's essential.

Absolute Essential for Content Creation and Personal Organization

  • June 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Easy to navigate
-Easy to use on Desktop and Mobile
-Easy Sync feature is good to keep hard disk space free
-Cheap for what you get, even at the higher end of the spectrum for 2TB+or family plans
-Secure
-Great for collaboration on projects
What do you dislike about the product?
-Not super easy to use with a website. For example, I wanted clients to be able to upload a document via my website that would then show up in my Dropbox account. Had to hire a specialist to code properly to make the transition from Squarespace to Dropbox feasible. Very niche thing I was wanting, but still would be nice to make it easier to do such things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Freeing up disk space on hard drive
-Backing up content for future use
-Keeping personal docs secure
-having docs accessible anywhere via mobile if needed
Recommendations to others considering the product:
top 5 most important tools you can have as an individual or business. Think about hacks or computer meltdowns or any reason that you would want something securely stored in a separate location that is still accessible easily. Also if you don't want large files to take up local space. It's really simple and requires little to no tech-savviness to set it up

Dropbox make sharing files seamlessly easy

  • June 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the "sync-ability" of Dropbox. My clients can add files that I need for designs and it notifies me that new files have been added. I can share proofs that are too large to be emailed and they can easily all have access for review.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get a little pricey at $11.99 for what you get. I mean...it's basically a cloud service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My clients can add files that I need for designs and it notifies me that new files have been added. I can share proofs that are too large to be emailed and they can easily all have access for review.

Decent cloud storage software

  • June 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox was the first application that introduced automated backup and sync for me, and I am a fan of this feature since then. One of my favorite features is file sharing. Most of the other applications require the receiver to log in to view the shared file, but Dropbox makes it easy for the receiver to view/download the file even if they don't have an account.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Free plan is lacking. The amount of storage that new users get is minimal for them to use the application for their day-to-day operations and properly explore and integrate Dropbox into their workflow. They should offer a minimum of 10GB free storage to be competitive with other free cloud storage providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is used as a backup and a file-sharing solution for storing files for safety. The ease of file sharing is a nice feature that I use daily.
