Dropbox simplifies file sharing and usage on a professional level!!

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox allowed me to take photographs at any location and they were seamlessly placed into my "Dropbox" for retrieval, processing, storage, deletion and a host of other available tasks, such as sharing and presenting. The ease of use and well thought out seamless intregation into any work environment made using Dropbox both a pleasure and productive use of time and resources. Highly recommend. Small learning curve with great Help and Support and many available User Forums and Chats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when integrating a new device, Dropbox would default to autosaving all photos when only those previously specified should have auto-saved. This issue may have been resolved as it has not recently occurred despite almost daily usage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has solved getting multiple locations and file types into one centralized arena to work from a central hub or any satellite location.

Good, but it's no Google Drive

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can upload new versions of files and have the links stay the same, and that Dropbox is known widely as the default so that there is usually less to explain to clients. Its a useful tool for sending files, especially bigger work files, to people you are working with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop client is really not good and makes things incredibly complicated. I wish there was a way where it didnt completely integrate into your system and you could just use it separately for uploading and downloading. Different levels of integration would be helpful. I also don't like that you can't put normal symbols in folder names. File names I understand, but folder names it makes no sense. Also, I wish that I could move a folder somewhere else from within the folder, rather than having to go to the folder its contained in to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to get files to other people easily, and able to organize in a helpful way.For a company that works mostly remotely, this is a helpful way to have a mutual server of files.

My Dropbox Review

What do you like best about the product?
Far more simple than an SFTP transfer when working with vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much I dislike. Maybe an extra layer of security like a code texted to me would be good?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File transfers to a few third-party vendors. Nice not to need a specific login for each vendor like I do when transferring via SFTP. All of them are in a single spot to choose from.

Great document storage for smaller businesses

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It functions as a folder system exactly as your computer's built-in folder structure. Because it integrates with your system, retrieving files and moving items within those files is simple and typical the the manner of any document stored on your hard drive. I like that everything was accessable to everyone in the firm rather than hiding on someone's desktop. It's easy to use and easy to navigate, especially for older users who are familiar with Windows/PC file structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
We reached a number of documents that made the folder system slightly untenable. When we originally had one attorney or even two attorneys and two assistants, the amount of data stored was low and the system was easily navigated. Our firm grew to four attorneys and three assistants with hundreds of thousands of documents and at a certain point, the folder system became difficult. We have since switched to a cloud-based legal repository system to allow storage of larger quantities of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When our firm was smaller, Dropbox was a great way to store files in a way familiar to any skill level of user, that allowed accessability for everyone in the firm.

Easy access to files across multiple devices

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sync across multiple devices large files, even when files are quite large such as images, videos, music, or audio, Dropbox can handle it all without any issues
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it syncs too many files from the cloud to the machine, using up all the storage on the local disk. It would be better if they had clearer prompts asking if we want to switch rarely used, large files to online only. Also, a cleanup tool would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to business files across multiple devices, faster productivity, and knowing where to find them. There are lots of data storage services out there, but Dropbox seems to be the easiest to use.

Drop box’s works perfect for my company

  • July 22, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
I like that anyone can use it, I have my sales team upload all their daily info into it and I can check it through out the day or at the end of the day. They're they're missing something it's easy for me to see and pick up on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything in particular that I dislike about Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of sending texts back and forth, drop box has created an area that I can keep my work lift separately from everyday lift. I have all my sales members upload to drop box instead of sending me their pictures of daily work to my phone, it's created a less stress environment for me and my employees

Dropbox is essential as a classroom teacher!

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user friendly Dropbox is! My photos automatically upload and I can easily share them with my colleagues at school. The editing tools are easy to use and the Dropbox app works very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing I dislike about Dropbox. It has ample storage for my pictures, it works quickly and effectively. I can easily share pictures with the other teachers at my school.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it incredibly easy to share photos at work. As teachers we do so many fun and interesting things throughout the year and then put together a slideshow. Dropbox really helps us put it all together.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of uploading and managing data is the most remarkable feature of Dropbox. Moreover, one can easily access data from any device from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The services are extremely good, however, Dropbox can work on reducing the prices to make it affordable for all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One can easily access data from any device from anywhere, therefore no need to carry the hard disk or laptop. We can travel without such devices as Dropbox is a reliable and user friendly cloud.

Good medium of storage

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a suitable and secure medium of cloud storage. It's easy to set up and use. You can use it on any device, so your files are always with you wherever you are. You can sync your data across multiple devices by installing Dropbox in them, making it not only an excellent medium of storage but also file transfer. In addition to sharing files between devices, you can also share them with other users. You can generate a URL for any file in your storage and share it with the users, or you can send the files as email attachments. Alternatively, you can also create shared folders and allow access to users via email. Any file that you add or move to the shared folders will be accessible by all the authorized users. Not only does this make it easier for you to share files without needing to invite or manually transfer the URL, but it also allows you to collaborate. Furthermore, Dropbox prevents data from being lost easily. Any file or folder that you delete can be recovered within 30 days of deletion, so you can retain anything you may accidentally delete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox only offers 2GB of space for free. I currently have Dropbox Plus, through which I get 2TB of space at a very affordable price. However, Dropbox still lacks several integrations and features that can be used on Google Drive for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been entirely reliant on Dropbox for cloud storage and collaboration on documents, presentations, and projects through Dropbox Paper. It allows me and my team to work seamlessly and efficiently on projects and coding while also managing our tasks well. You can create checklists and set due dates for which you'll get reminded via Dropbox. You can make real-time changes and edits to documents simultaneously with other users, saving you plenty of time. You can also embed images, video clips, and any media file to presentations. In addition, Dropbox has several app integrations available such as Slack, Zoom, Salesforce, and Trello, which our team and entire department make use of to carry out our remote work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While Dropbox is excellent, I would say Google Drive is better if you're looking for a reliable software for cloud content collaboration and storage. It's free, and you can make the most out of its features just like you can on Dropbox. The one significant benefit Google Drive has over Dropbox is that you get 15GB of storage, compared to Dropbox's 2GB unless you upgrade.

Dropbox makes sending large Files Easy

  • July 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the set up is not complicated. Just browse your PC to find your document, and then enter in the recipients (Dropbox will autopopulate email addresses you have used in the past). It's not complicated and everyone seems to either know Dropbox, or have it already.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that my Free Membership is almost over. I feel that there should be an unlimited free membership so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to send out large sales decks to potential clients. We have a software called Clearslide which will create a link to a large document (and tell us how many slides the recipient viewed, how long they spent with the link, etc) however I feel that my prospects are more familiar with, and more receptive to Dropbox because they are familiar with it. I have better luck and better follow-up conversations when I use Dropbox vs. Clearslide.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to send a large file I highly recommend Dropbox. Because of its clean and streamlined set up, many users feel comfortable using it for both sending and receiving files. It makes receiving a large file fun and easy!
