Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool. must give a try if you are new. The best feature of dropbox is it allows users to restore the files which were deleted accidentally. Thus, it acts as a panacea for everyone who works in the corporate sector. We lose lot of data as files get deleted from us accidentally. With dropbox, you can retrieve them anytime.

Dropbox - Storing Documents
What do you like best about the product?
I love to store my documents and pictures on Dropbox. It also helps me to share my picture folders with my family and friends. I can decide what to share and what not to share. The other party can download or view only. I can access my account anywhere in the world on any device.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is I have to purchase extra space and its expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If my laptop or computer crashes I can always retrieve my docs from Dropbox when I store over the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to use, your folders are secure when you save them. It let you save space on your computer when you save on dropbox. It helps in supporting collaborating teamwork with your group members and sharing files with others across the organization. You can use it for digital signing documents and contracts.
Dropbox Review by Rob R
What do you like best about the product?
DropBox is amazing to store files that are too big to send via email. Sometimes you don't have a way to store or send files, and the dropbox is just the perfect way to do so. Also, it is great for transferring files from one device to another, even when you don't have a computer. That's great for private usage but also for projects and teamwork with other team members. Additionally, Dropbox is very good to share files with customers and clients by giving them permission to access specific folders with a link.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had anything specific besides the amount of time it sometimes took to upload files. But, this could be just the location or bad service. Otherwise, dropbox does exactly what I expected it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for sharing files with clients and customers but also to share images and videos with family members who are further away.
Love this product!!!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the seemless interface with my other applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the product is slow when searching for a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to shared documents is the primary benefit of this product for our group.
reliable and fast, but limited automation/controllability limits flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
Sync seems very reliable and is able to take full advantage of available bandwidth, at least on my connection (about 20Mb/s up). This is much better than other services I've tried. The speed of analyzing files to determine what needs to be uploaded is very good, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
On Windows, there is basically no control possible from the command line. You can't start or stop the service in a programmatic way -- you need to hard kill the processes and then restart them, because there is no service interface. You can't change things like bandwidth allocations without using the GUI. The Dropbox folder also needs to be on an NTFS volume (e.g., can't use a ReFS volume) and only 1 folder can be selected, and symlinks are not recognized. So if you have files to sync that reside in multiple locations, they need to be consolidated to a single location, which is inconvenient at best and impossible at worst (e.g., if they don't all fit on a single volume).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to use it to automatically upload Veeam backups to offsite cloud storage. After a few days of experimentation, I seem to have a workable, albeit imperfect, system. Assuming all goes well, I will have efficient movement of my backup files offsite.
Best Cloud Storage Hands Down. Personal or Business!
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over a decade. It wasn't until recently when the company hired my younger brother that I discovered the platform's full potential. I utilize Dropbox to store, archive, and remotely access all of my youtube video recordings. The desktop app makes it very user-friendly, and there are so many tools to utilize once you dive in deeper.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to the application is that when attempting to download huge files or folders, a timeout error occurs. You must either download them file by file or send them to another protocol they have in the software for large downloads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved the issue of bogging down my computer's local storage, which causes it to run slower. The cloud app has benefited me by allowing me to access files on the go anytime, anywhere from any device.
Dropbox is convenient for data storage
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like most about Dropbox is the ease of access that you have when using it. I like that I can use either the website or the app to save and access my information. There are many times that I have found it helpful to be able to access the documents that I had saved on my computer from my phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I dislike most about Dropbox is the limit of 2 GB of storage without paying for the entire plan. The times that I need to save and access Dropbox vary depending on the month and the type of work I am currently doing, so having the whole plan at all times is sometimes more than I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I am solving with Dropbox is being able to access my files from anywhere in the office. When I need to go to another computer or office space, I can save my files to Dropbox and access them in other places. This is great because I no longer have to carry around any form of an external hard drive.
Does the job but have had better file sharing apps
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly easy to create an account and they give you free storage. Good for personal files storage of a low amount. Good for business accounts that you are not personally paying for because then you can have much more storage available. I like that you can direct download a file to your computer that is a shared file. However, I wish they had in app editing capability like Google Drive does so you do not have to download then reupload every time you want to share changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I ran out of space very quickly and the site is not intuitive at all. Had syncing problems with my drive and could not navigate the site well. It's confusing to find a specific file unless you have the direct link to the file. I did not put many files in my personal dropbox and it still sends me notifications that my storage is almost gone even though I only have about 10 documents in there. It does not sync with my Mac and keeps trying to sync my entire library with Dropbox instead of the specific files that I put in there. I much prefer Google Drive for storage and sharing of files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me quickly open files that have been shared with me, I can use it to back things up or share with friends. I can direct download things that need to be shared with my whole company and keep them as personal files on my computer
Eight years user, never switching!
What do you like best about the product?
I like best that I can access it from anywhere -- all of my devices, or any web browser -- and that I can so easily choose which folders I need to see on which device.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a simpler "one-click download" link option for sharing files with others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a professional photographer and we photographers deal in a LOT of files. While I use web-based gallery hosting for delivering image to clients, I still like to keep all files myself in an organized way and for years. Dropbox has been a total solution for my photography business. I use it to store and archive client files, I use it to store and easily access select portfolio images for social media and web use, and I use it for all the other administrative file storage needs for my business. I have two computers (an iMac desktop and PC laptop) and two mobile devices (a phone and a tablet) and I love that I am able to work from Dropbox seamlessly from all these devices via the Dropbox apps for the various operating systems, and that I have the option to access certain folders while offline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is so worth the low-investment to have the peace of mind that Dropbox has all my files and I can access them easily any time.
