DropBox is a great off-device location

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DropBox stores all of my several work and personal documents as well as photos in the cloud where I can access them on any device without bogging down and taking up room on my own.
What do you dislike about the product?
DropBox is very aggressive on my device, trying to auto-download all documents created or import from any device connected. I'm sure I can change these settings on my own, and perhaps I missed unchecking a box somewhere, but I would prefer the default setting be my own choice whether a document were to be saved to DropBox instead of automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problems solved are accessibility and saved storage space on my personal devices.

Great tool to store and share marketing content

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool daily to share marketing content with my peers and vice versa. Through this platform, I am able to create different folders for each of my projects and give access to coworkers so they can add content too. I can limit their access or give them full access to one or all the projects. It is a very simple tool to use. You can add photos, or any type of file to your folders and share it without the tedious process of emailing large documents that can't be sent because of how large they are. This is a life saving tool for me!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I would change from this tool, however, if you are constantly using it as I am, you will have to pay to make sure you have enough space for all your files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am saving time with this platform since I no longer have to constantly be reminding my peers to send me their work. They know they can add it straight to dropbox, and I'll be able to see it as soon as I need it.

Dropbox is my go to of choice

What do you like best about the product?
I love dropbox because I am constantly sending large files. I am always taking pictures that I must share with others. I can choose one person or many to be part of the group and everyone has access to it. They do not have access to all my files though, so that is secure. It is easy to upload and store the files and quick. Love that!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not really anything that I dislike. It could be a liitle more secure but ohter than that it accomplishes exactly what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to show other exactly what I am seeing when visititng theri locations. A picture says a thousand words. It is saving me time becasue I dont have to send multiple emails.

Can't even remember what a DVD or Memory Stick is...

What do you like best about the product?
Having all our content in the cloud is just amazing. The smart update system that removes content you are not using from your device and only stores it in the cloud is awesome. We have over 7 terabytes of stuff that I have access to with a click of a mouse. I love the way it integrates with finder on my Mac so everything is at my fingertips. I also use the auto-upload function on my phone all the time. I shoot videos on my phone, it automatically uploads to Dropbox, edit it on my iMac - just so seamless. Also, use the collaboration function - We publish books on Innovation and we share layouts and designs on Dropbox for comments and collaboration.

Altogether one of the best business apps out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your settings aren't right and you have a bunch of devices you can get into an upload loop where a lot of data and bandwidth can be wasted...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration is key - easy to share and move huge files. Our team is distributed around the globe and we used to have to mail portable hard drives with big files. This is so much easier...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I suggest you take a bit of time going through the help files to understand how to use the product. The biggest issue we had was staff members that didn't understand how to use the product and they complained until I showed them the correct way to use it. The best way is to not use it in a browser window but use it in your native finder or file system.

I recommend Dropbox

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Dropbox for eight years for both my personal documents and my business. It's a great resource for ensuring your documents are protected from local hardware failure, and accessible by multiple people within an organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox files cannot be live edited by multiple people simultaneously, like Google Drive/Docs files can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is very handy for mobile access and file sharing. Anytime I need to reference a document in my Dropbox, I can pull it up easily and immediately on my phone or laptop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is a quality product that is safe and user-friendly. I have had no issues with the service in the 7-8 years I've been using it. My only caution is it's not a good resource if you plan on having multiple people editing documents simultaneously.

What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendliness of this application is astounding. It takes little to zero training as far as newcomer onboarding is concerned to begin using this application. Its cross-platform (i.e. OS) compatibility is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The appearance of documents on tablets, phones and other mobile devices is not up to par. This is 1 aspect of the application that can be improved upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-functional teams projects and documents management is phenomenally easy using this application.

One of the best file management softwares

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox for Business, especially the desktop plugin, is so easy to use and efficient. I highly recommend it. I prefer this over Google Drive. The desktop integration is pretty seamless, and we can easily go into files and update, save without opening a browser. The search function is also wonderful so i dont have to click into every folder. I also enjoy the Recent/Notifications as well so I can easily re-open a file I was just in.
What do you dislike about the product?
On a Mac, it does take up some space, but if you switch to Online Only syncing, it saves a lot of space. However, when you open the file, it then saves it locally so you need to do this frequently to save your space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team file management, time saving, less time online and finding files - its easy to open, work on, save and everyone on the team has access to the updated file.

What do you like best about the product?
We can use this application through mobile and pc also. We can store our files like images, documents,etc.. of original size
This application can be used by every individual
It is highly secured
If any file or document is get deleted from our storage,we can retrieve those documents through Microsoft Dropbox
We can store any type of data files
We have feature like autosave functionality which will save files automatically in Dropbox
We need not to worry to update files, this is the best feature I like the most in Dropbox
And the other best feature is we not need any new account to create if we have Microsoft account we can directly use this dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no dislike in this application but small issue is the storage limit they provide is than what we except and the application not works properly when we have less bandwidth like it will give some lagging and hanging issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no required of carrying physical documents when we have Dropbox,I am carrying those documents in softcopy using Microsoft Dropbox and I can this application through mobile and Pc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Cloud file storage and content creation

  • August 14, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy to understand and intuitive in usage. You can use it on your web browser, mobile phone or download its application for your Windows computer. Uploading files to your Dropbox account can be done by the drag-and-drop method or browsing through your hard disk. Files are uploaded relatively fast, and you can see their progress and the time remaining for the upload. Dropbox uploads per file aren't restricted by size, so each file can be as big as you want them to be as long as they don't cross the maximum storage capacity on your account. You can organize and structure your storage with folders that you can create. Dropbox can be used for transferring files seamlessly as you can link your account to multiple devices. File sharing on Dropbox is very simple, and you can do so by giving them the link from which they can download. While Dropbox is completely free to use, you can upgrade your account for more features and facilities that aren't available from the get-go. You can easily create backups of your Windows so that if there's an issue with your computer, you can retrieve important data any time or restore your Windows to its previous state. The Trash folder in Dropbox allows up to 30 days of deletion recovery and up to 180 days if you upgrade your account. Dropbox is excellent for collaboration as well, as you can connect several applications for conferencing, task management, customer relationship management, data entry, and manage all your most used applications in a convenient way. Dropbox also supports cloud content creation, where you can work on papers and slides with your colleagues at the same time. You can also set timelines and create notes for better communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm happy with Dropbox and don't dislike anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been an avid user of Dropbox for a long time as it has been a viable way of sharing files. It's fast, and I can send my files to my colleagues quicker than any other medium. Dropbox is relatively safe, and it ensures that only the people I want to share my files with can download them. We have created some shared folders through which we can conveniently upload files without needing to make them only available through links manually. This makes all the files in the shared folders available for download to all of the invited users. Aside from storage and sharing, we also use Dropbox for creating content such as papers, reports, and presentation slides. Not only can we write and dit, but also attach images and videos to them. Much like a Word document, we can seamlessly format texts with HTML fonts, colors, and styles. This has been an integral feature in allowing us to create monthly reports, brochures, documentation for webinars, etc. Dropbox's connections with other software allows us to multitask seamlessly in a uniform window, saving us time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is free to use, and I recommend it to anyone who works remotely.
