Essential for Our Corporate Operations
What do you like best about the product?
Okta is an awesome tool for our large organization that uses a wide variety of online platforms. It's basically a one-stop-shop for accessing our online portals and provides secure authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Okta can be glitchy at times, occasionally signing users out of their accounts or not working properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta allows the employees in our large organization the ability to access online applications portals with secure authentication. It makes signing in to many different applications MUCH easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We have been using Okta for the number of employees in our large organization. I don't know how it would work for smaller organizations, but it is an excellent resource.

Good home base for all web based apps
What do you like best about the product?
I have never had any problems logging in with Okta, it is a streamlined way to authenticate access for apps my company uses, and is a great place to start the work day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints with the current functionality of Okta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta makes my workday more efficient. I do not have to remember passwords for different sites, or go through the process of logging into individual applications every day.
Set it & Forget it Security
What do you like best about the product?
I have it set up as a Chrome extension and it helps to quickly sign me into our secure systems. It has an Apple Watch app so I can get push notifications sent right to my watch and easily approve them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing to complain about. You have to set a long password and update it frequently, but it works flawlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have stringent security requirements and Okta helps us keep our passwords secure.
Just easy and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that once you have installed Okta you can just access all your apps on laptop and mobile easily and just get to work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes experience that some applications are not as smooth to include on your Okta dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I now waste no time logging in to my apps. I don't get annoyed trying to remember passwords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a simple SSO solution that can scale with your requirements then Okta seems like the obvious choice. I assume Okta is best with Cloud services but I guess it does older on-prem software as well.
All In One - Easy Access To Every Business App
What do you like best about the product?
Since my company uses most of the apps within Okta, I can easily access each on without signing into each on individually. I use about 10 to 12 apps. They all in one place. I can even rearrange the apps according to importance. I never had any issues with Okta since we first started using the application about 5 years old.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain apps require you to sign in every time. For example, my language app is connected to Okta and I have to use a verification code every time I sign into the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Minimum hassle - able to sign in to all apps at the same time, user friendly, helps keep me organized at the job and I don't need to open a whole bunch of windows just to access my work pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When signing into other apps like the Rosetta Stone language app, can users stay signed in even when we click out of the app.
Personally Do Not Enjoy It
What do you like best about the product?
It does exactly what it is supposed to do from an IT standpoint for security in log-ins and app usage, from that perspective it's great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires you to have the mobile app and send push notifications to your phone every time you want to sign in to something, which means you're locked out if your phone is dead or you don't have it on you. I've had a few issues of my account needing to be reset, which can take hours in a large company, and you essentially get locked out of every app you need for work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, IT, Single Log-in, Approved App Management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a lot of getting used to in the beginning, be prepared and don't forget your passwords!
In theory it was great, hard to use properly.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allowed a single-sign on option for the myriad of applications we used at work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It crashed all the time, although that may have been my companies fault, not Okta's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forgetting passwords was a problem, this helped tremendously.

Seriously read the instructions and company guidelines.
Perfect tool for streamlining passwords
What do you like best about the product?
Completely negates the need for keeping cumbersome password spreadsheets or other ways of tracking your credentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced no downsides using Okta!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta is so easy to update, it has made my worker so much quicker and less cumbersome. I am an institutional fundraiser, so I have accounts with many different application systems. Using Okta to save my credentials has been hugely helpful.

Okta is a critical tool for those with many online accounts, such as fundraisers. Has made my work so much quicker and easier.

What do you like best about the product?
Okta makes it simple to access many different business apps easily and securely

I can't add additional websites to the single sign-on functionality; I am limited to those added by my company
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
so many different business apps being used today; this makes it easy to access them all with a single sign on!

Dead simple Single Sign On
What do you like best about the product?
Okta is great at helping out company manage authentication with various third party SaaS platforms. The app and browser plugin work as expected and never seem to fail.
What do you dislike about the product?
To date I haven't had a single negative experience with Okta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time to on- and off-board employees has been greatly reduced. Our employees enjoy the benefit of not having to remember and manage passwords for various third party services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simple, hosted Single Sign On solution then I recommend giving Okta a try. The app and browser plugin are easy to use and support has been great.
