A Linux OS that is edgy enough to be current and just enough behind to be stable.
What do you like best about the product?
Updates and security patches are constantly being provided. Most packages are at the most recent stable versions and problems with out of date software are few. I find that for web servers, Ubuntu always seems to have all the pertinent packages.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are LTS versions, upgrading between major versions is a bit dicey. I would prefer a distribution that allows for a rolling update process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Open Source Server and desktop software to run line of business apps, appliances and non-critical desktops requiring basic software needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Like all Linux distros, it really comes down to need and features. I believe that all distros have strengths and none are inferior so the choice or decision is not based on personal beliefs. Choose what is supported and recommended by your app providers.

What do you like best about the product?
This is the best operating system for machine learning, ethical hacking, cloud, artificial intelligence and lots and lots of other things. I have a company of about 10 employees and we are working of A.I, machine learning and lots of other cutting edge technologies. So Ubuntu helps us achieve what we want. It's light weight nature is not very memory hungry and also not very hard on the processor. Which lets us run more programs in parallel. Other than that it has a very nice terminal and user interface. Linux is considered an Operating system only for programmers but this will not be true for this operating system. Ubuntu undoubtedly is very user friendly and can be used by any kind of user and not only programmers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The open source nature of Ubuntu makes it prone to attacks and hacks. So the developers at Ubuntu could do better with the security. I also recommend making it a little bit more user friendly.

It usually comes with no bloatware, and it does what it was designed to do? Give an optimal environment for an end user to code and create something beautiful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Only if they could port or develope a better office suite. Libre office is not bad, but it kinda sucks.
If you are dual booting, grub kinda replaces the MDR (unless you take care and do it the hard way). And the problem that lies here is, that if windows gets a major update and it has to do something with the MDR, your windows is lost. And sometimes even the laptop is bricked.

UBUNTU. Do not be afraid of it.
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is an excellent operating system, based on free software licenses, also known as open source, which means a large community is working behind it, obtaining constant improvements. The operating system has nothing to envy from other proprietary licensed ones (like Windows or Apple's OSX). It functions as a single-user operating system or as a network operating system (server). It is free and comes with a built-in search engine that allows you to find more free and open-source programs to install on your system with a few clicks. It is easy to install and very intuitive. The command interface handling is ultra-fast and allows you to do anything more quickly than through the graphical interface. You can perfectly try it along with a virtual machine for testing before implementing it. When installing it, you can install Grub (or the old Lilo) to set up a boot menu in case your PC has multiple operating systems, so you can choose which one you want to boot with. It manages system resources such as processor usage and RAM much better than Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many applications and games that are released for Windows and Mac, and on Linux Ubuntu they are not compatible. If you are very accustomed to using proprietary operating systems, when you arrive at Ubuntu it may be a bit difficult to adapt. Finding the drivers for your hardware devices can turn out to be quite an odyssey. The handling of the command interface is very complex and requires a lot of study and practice time to master it completely. You must pay attention to periodic updates to keep it up to date. Even sometimes it will be necessary to change versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Free operating systems for your employees' (or students' if we are talking about an institute or academy) workstations without having to pay the expensive Microsoft or MAC licenses.
