Great open source OS
What do you like best about the product?
Free
Good platform for learning Linux as it has a nice UI but all the command line tools still available.
I use Ubuntu at home now more than Windows. Ubuntu is faster and better than previous versions as well.
Tons of open source software available.

What do you dislike about the product?
Graphics card support isn't as good as it is on Windows but you shouldn't be using Linux for serious gaming anyway. UI has improved but is unfamiliar if you are used to Windows. Not all software is compatible but with web apps being more prevalent this is less of an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development work and hosting web applications/services(without GUI). Easy to develop on and great experience for learning development skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best way to get started with Linux.
Recommend upgrading to Ubuntu 18 if you system can handle it.
Use the command line.
Create a dual boot with Windows if that is what you are coming from.

Experience in using Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
The most simple and widely used operating system for any kind of industry. The simple operations and commands are the best part of this os. its completely virus free is also the most remarkable feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support system fails sometimes. Like the wifi connection becomes invisible sometimes and crashes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My primary operating system is Ubuntu only. I use it for programming, sharing files, browsing, developer applications and many more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu is more secure and advanced than other OS. It supports all applications and plugins. For education and business it is best fit.
Unique experience
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the Ubuntu reminded me of the Mac user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
It could have used more support for apps and programs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There’s definitely an ease to Ubuntu that you can’t get with windows in my opinion
great for replacing windows if you know what you are doing
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customization, the streamlined functions, and the ease of set-up
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of support from programs like Microsoft office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
my desktop is on the older side, and I need to have a responsive desktop. Using Ubuntu helped speed up the desktop
Recommendations to others considering the product:
depends on what you want to do, and what industry your work is in. I think it's better than Windows or Mac, but it's not as user friendly, and people don't typically like googling things or relying on tech support if there's an issue.
I Love using Ubuntu Server
What do you like best about the product?
Yes Ubuntu server is my go to Distro to spin up a quick little server. From the amount of support I find online to the very nature of being able to install most every app I need for my server in a simple App-get command just makes setting it up a breeze. Couple it with Monit and you have an amazing up time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that really comes to my mind is that you cannot run as Root. I understand the security behind it but still I just wish They would get rid of that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run on site backup boxes with Ubuntu as the OS and then run our Code 42 on top. We also run a few other applications for customers and a few things onsite. It's easier to setup than Redhat by far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's not Redhat but it shouldn't be, with it's strong Debian base and now the addition of snap apps it's going the right way. Spin it up and try it!

Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is a Linux distribution, a powerful, versatile, and well-maintained operating system. It is free software licensed and open source, which makes it easy for numerous users to make modifications to adapt to different environments. Ubuntu effectively manages the machine's resources, both main memory and processor, and includes many tools to manage the work environment, such as creating users, setting up a server, and creating groups. Through the update and software center, it is possible to find many tools with an open source license that are very useful for our system.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Ubuntu is that learning to manage it through commands requires a lot of study and practice time. But it is worth investing time in it to achieve the necessary fluency to perform administrative tasks with ultra speed.
Ubuntu also has the drawback of coexisting with the large operating system development companies, and this sometimes causes a lot of commercial software not to have a version compatible with Ubuntu.
Ubuntu also has the drawback of coexisting with the large operating system development companies, and this sometimes causes a lot of commercial software not to have a version compatible with Ubuntu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu has helped me to get to know a free operating system that appears robust and intuitive in its interface. It does not involve any expense in licenses and it is possible to find many programs available through the software center. Additionally, it works correctly from a virtual machine, so there is no need to actually install it locally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Knowing Ubuntu is advisable, to not close oneself off to the commercial OS alternatives we have. Ubuntu is free and powerful.
Perfect OS for Development
What do you like best about the product?
I'm now using Ubuntu 18.04 on my PC as the sole operating system. Not only is it free to download, but there are also plenty of free apps and games available, but it also's extremely stable, suffers from no irritating pauses or unexpected crashes, has no peripheral issues, and has a clean attractive interface. It’s a pleasure to use on a daily basis. It never strains, it never annoys.
What do you dislike about the product?
Problems with hardware compatibility (graphics drivers, printers,etc.). Some software like Photoshop and Autocad don't run smoothly here. Also, I have problems with Office suite: Libre Office works as well as Microsoft Office, but when you save your document and send it to a Windows-using friend, it is difficult to expect full compatibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amazing to do my thesis and my academic projects. I also used Ubuntu during my Internship for working on the compy projects.
Ubuntu it's the solution you need for advanced and customizable space of work
What do you like best about the product?
This operative system is the definition for secure, advanced and customizable space for productivity. No need of high requirements to install, no need to be worried about threats because it's one of the most secure systems and with a larger community of support who trust in the red free and open source
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be challenging in the first days and takes a few months to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a tech worker I need it that the company implements more secure system operatives to avoid threats in our internal red and our servers around the world. Also need a space of administration to manage configurations and have a low cost. So this fit with these requirements.
