Fail2Ban on Ubuntu 24.04 with maintenance support by ATH. This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support. Fail2Ban is an intrusion prevention software framework that protects servers from brute force attacks and other malicious activities. By monitoring log files, such as SSH or Apache logs, Fail2Ban identifies IP addresses that demonstrate patterns of suspicious behavior e.g. multiple failed login attempts and temporarily bans them by updating firewall rules.
