You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
System Initialization
After creating an EC2 instance with 1-Click, browse to http://<Public_DNS>/ for system initialization instructions. This step is required to install security updates and set sensitive passwords.
Accessing the software
Main web app:http://<Public_DNS>/
OS commands via SSH:SSH as user 'admin' to the running instance and use sudo to run commands requiring root access.
OS commands via web terminal:https://<Public_DNS>:12320 Login with username 'admin' and the password you set during system initialization.
System control panel:https://<Public_DNS>:12321
Note:You may need to ignore scary browser warnings when accessing this instance's encrypted administration interfaces until you replace the randomly generated self-signed SSL certificate with an SSL certificate signed by an authorized Certificate Authority.
