Futurex Key Management as a Service (KMaaS) for VirtuCrypt Cloud HSMs

Futurex’s Key Management as a Service (KMaaS) for VirtuCrypt cloud payment HSMs enables organizations to offload complex and procedurally challenging key management processes to Futurex’s team of industry expert key administrators.

For over a decade, Futurex has been delivering key management services to customers around the world. Offering these in conjunction with VirtuCrypt cloud payment HSM services allows customers to leverage Futurex’s existing relationships with payment processors, card brands, ESOs, and payment networks can be leveraged to streamline the onboarding process and reduce key management burdens.

The service is delivered by Futurex’s in compliance with PCI DSS, PCI PIN, and PCI P2PE standards (PCI Attestations of Compliance (AoC) available upon request). The following activities are available through the service:

*Generation of all certificates and keys needed to import keys to VirtuCrypt *Migration of keys from existing environments into VirtuCrypt *Generation of new keys needed for use in the VirtuCrypt service environment *Exchange of keys with external entities (processors, networks, ESOs, card brands, and more) *Receiving from or sending keys to external entities, and then transmitting them securely to VirtuCrypt

All key types are offered as part of the service (zone keys, issuer master keys, base derivation keys, as well as any other keys needed for payment issuing, authorization, and acquiring), and all modern and legacy key block types are supported.

The service is coordinated through a secure web portal and all key management activities are performed using FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and PCI HSM validated hardware security modules.
