Amazon MQ Now Supports AWS CloudFormation

Posted on: Jun 14, 2018

Starting today you can provision Amazon MQ message brokers using AWS CloudFormation. Amazon MQ is a managed message broker service for Apache ActiveMQ. AWS CloudFormation automates the process of creating and managing Amazon MQ message brokers.

You can now use AWS CloudFormation templates to create, update, and delete message brokers in an orderly and predictable fashion. You can also create and update broker configurations as part of your CloudFormation template.

Amazon MQ is available in the US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), EU (Frankfurt), and Asia Pacific (Sydney) regions, with more regions to follow.

To get started using Amazon MQ in AWS CloudFormation, visit the AWS CloudFormation console. Please refer to the AWS CloudFormation User Guide for more information on using Amazon MQ brokers and configurations as resources in your templates, stacks, and StackSets.
